Guwahati, Jan 05: Jogen Mohon, the Assam HAD Minister and the guardian minister for Karbi Anglong, visited the district to mark the start of 2024 Gunotsav. During his visit to Diphu, the minister attended the evaluation at Diphu Govt. Boys’ HS School. Welcomed by students with a Karbi group song, he was accompanied by District Commissioner Madhumita Bhagovati, KAAC Joint Secretary Nirupoma Timungpi, Inspector of Schools Birensing Ingti, and officials from the SSA office and DC office.

In statements to the media, Minister Jogen Mohon highlighted the positive impact of Gunotsav on the state’s education sector. He noted that the program has led to advancements in both academic and infrastructural aspects, providing crucial insights into the condition of schools for future planning.

Subsequently, the minister visited Mohongdijua LP School, sharing the mid-day meal with students and accompanying officers. Some MACs (Member of Autonomous Councils) of KAAC faced scheduling conflicts due to election campaigning in Dima Hasao, preventing them from fulfilling their duties as EEs. In their absence, other officers were assigned to carry out the evaluations.

It’s worth mentioning that the Gunotsav program began with Self School Evaluation earlier in the week, followed by the Self Evaluation of students on Wednesday.
