Search ongoing after blast report near Israel Embassy finds no explosives nearby

Delhi, Dec 26: On Tuesday, the Delhi police reported receiving a call regarding an explosion near the Israel embassy in the Chanakyapuri area.
According to various media reports citing police sources, investigators have found a letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador near the embassy premises. Guy Nir, the spokesperson for the Israeli embassy, confirmed the occurrence of a loud blast around 5 pm. The Israeli foreign ministry stated that no embassy staff were injured, and Indian and Israeli agencies are collaborating on the investigation. Deputy Chief of Mission Ohad Nakash Kaynar reassured that all diplomats and workers are safe and asserted that security teams are actively cooperating with local Delhi security.
The blast news was received after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Mumbai received a threatening email warning of plan to set off 11 bombs across the city with ICICI Bank and HDFC on potential target list
Following this, the Mumbai police immediately initaited a thorough probe and deployed officers to locations specified in the threatening email. So far, no evidence of explosive devices has been found during the massive search.
