Dillai, Jan 03: In a latest development, the Assam Police seized 16 quintal of illegal Burmese supari at the Dillai checkpoint under the Dillai police station here on Wednesday.
According to cops, the illegal Burmese supari were found during a routine check carried out inside a truck from Dimapur with the registration number AS17C5722 and was headed towards Guwahati. In this connection, a man identified as Manik Mullah was taken into custody for further interrogation. Further, according to the police the illegal supari was worth around Rs. 16 lakh in the market.
