DIPHU, Dec 28: In a encouraging news for tribal Karbis, India’s President Droupadi Murmu will attend the 50th Karbi Youth Festival on January 17, at Taralangso in Diphu. This was announced by the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang through his social media account here today.
Breaking the news, the KAAC chief through his account informed that India’s President will grace the festival as Chief Guest on January 17, 2024 and is expected to be accompanied by Governor of Assam Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Meghalaya Phagu Chauhan, La Ganesan (Governor of Nagaland), Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.
The Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth Festival 2024, one of India’s oldest and biggest ethnic festival will take place from January 12 to January 19, 2024, at the Karbi People’s Hall in Taralangso, Diphu,Karbi Anglong district (Assam).
