Delhi, Jan 04: In a significant development, Aved Ahmed Mattoo, a wanted terrorist associated with Hizbul Mujahideen in Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested by the special cell of Delhi Police on Friday. Mattoo, a resident of Khushal area in Sopore, carried a substantial reward of Rs. 10 lakh on his head and was known to have visited Pakistan multiple times. The apprehension took place in Delhi, where Mattoo was found in possession of a pistol, magazine, and a stolen car. Special CP HS Dhaliwal disclosed that Mattoo’s recent movements were tracked to Delhi’s Nizamuddin-DND area, as reported by Republic World. The arrest marks a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to curb terrorist activities in the region.
