Delhi, Jan 08: An Israeli strike in Lebanon resulted in the killing of a top Hezbollah commander, as confirmed by a security official. The unidentified security official revealed that the commander played a significant role in overseeing Hezbollah’s operations in the southern region. The commander lost his life in an Israeli operation targeting his car in the southern part of Lebanon.

Responding to the killing of two journalists in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the journalists were in a vehicle with a terror operative who was operating a drone. The IDF justified its actions, emphasizing the association between the journalists and the identified terror operative.

Meanwhile, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed concern over the unknown whereabouts of hundreds of patients and health workers from Gaza’s Al-Aqsa Hospital. As the Gaza war continues, smoke rises from behind a tent camp in Rafah, highlighting the dire situation of displaced Palestinians in the region. The conflict has led to the displacement of a significant portion of Gaza’s population, leaving homes and infrastructure in ruins and causing severe shortages of essential resources.
